The student health fee provides an annual complimentary eye exam for all enrolled UMSL students, a $95 value. Comprehensive eye exams are performed by advanced level students under the guidance and expertise of doctors specializing in fields such as pediatric vision, eye health management, contact lens services, and ocular disease. Current students and their dependents qualify for discounts on all of our designer, top-of-the-line frames, lenses and contact lenses.
After you graduate, UMSL Eye Care will provide members of the UMSL Alumni Association, their spouse and their dependents up to 26 years of age, an annual comprehensive vision examination for a 50% reduction from our usual and customary fees in addition to savings on frames and lenses, contact lens examinations, and some contact lenses. You must provide a copy of your UMSL Alumni Association membership card to receive the discount.

40% savings on frames and lenses or 20% savings on frames and lenses with an outside prescription
50% savings on contact lens fitting examination
20% savings on contact lenses (some exclusions apply)
